Perched high above Lake Taneycomo on a steep hillside, Cliff Haus is a nearly 100-year-old stone home with dramatic, castle-like character and unforgettable sunset views. With exposed beams, wood ceilings, and rich stone details throughout, this three-level retreat feels more like a European chateau than a traditional lake house.
The home sleeps 8 guests with four bedrooms (2 kings, 2 queens) and three full bathrooms, one on each level. Two bathrooms feature updated walk-in showers, while the lower-level bath is more rustic and original, located within a utility/muck room and best suited for casual use.
Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with a full coffee bar, multiple TVs, washer and dryer, and inviting indoor living spaces. Two attached screened decks on separate levels offer elevated lake views and beautiful sunsets, with the upper deck enclosed and set up for dining.
As a historic, multi-level stone home, temperatures may vary by floor. Fans, space heaters, operable screened windows, and an attic fan are provided for comfort. Fireplaces are decorative and non-functional.
Parking includes three gravel areas (two in front of the home and one across the street by the garage), plus additional space directly in front of the garage.
For safety reasons, there is no direct lake access, and venturing down the cliffside is not permitted. Due to the steep terrain and numerous stairs, children under age 12 are not allowed.
